Triumph Motorcycles are an expanding international organisation with oversees manufacturing and purchasing functions with their Head Office based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
Reporting to the Factory Accountant, the successful candidate will be required to manage and develop the existing duty processes and requirements of the business and be proactive with regards to changes in legislation and opportunities for savings.
This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced accountant specialising in import / export duty and VAT to join a leading and dynamic organisation.
The ideal candidate will be ideally AAT qualified or actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification such as ACCA / ACA / CIMA. Full study support will be provided for candidates who are part way through their studies. Candidates who have experience of working within a Manufacturing environment or who are seeking to make the first move from a leading Public Practice will have a distinct advantage.
Responsibilities will include; Overseeing and reporting upon the duty impact of financial transactions / Month and year end reporting / Investigating and assessing the impact of duty changes / Reviewing current processes and advising on any necessary improvements / Manage and control audits / Monitor development in accounting standards, primarily UK GAAP but also understand the future impact of IFRS.
