Hewitson Walker has been assigned by a Global Manufacturer in Leicestershire to assist with its search for a Management Accountant.
This is a new role, which is the result of some positive changes within the business. Reporting into the UK Finance Manager, the Management Accountant will take full ownership for the all finance duties and integration for a recently acquired business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Production of monthly management accounts (with packs) and preparation of periodic budgets and forecasts with targeted commentary and monthly packs for senior management
- Integration of acquired business into the existing finance function
- Production and reporting of cash flow forecasts
- Weekly & Monthly reporting and explanation of variances to Directors
- Stock accounting
- Completion of audit packs to assist in interim/annual audit process;
- Supporting operational management with adhoc analysis (sales/cost of sales)
You will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with strong management accounting experience. You must be able to work effectively as both part of a team and on your own initiative, be flexible and to question current practices with the target of improving the department to achieve best practices. You will be an excellent communicator with good commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively at a senior level.
