The Company
A well-known and respected manufacturing company who offer a range of products and innovative material solutions to their customers. They are part of a Group that operates in over 60 countries and are one of the top 100 Industrial Groups in the world. Due to the company`s ongoing successes, they are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team.
The Role
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Manage the procurement of raw materials, consistently creating opportunities to improve the supply base by identifying and developing innovative ideas
- Supervision of up to 3 Buyers - coaching and supporting to achieve optimum performance levels
- Personal category portfolio management
- Carry out specific project work which may involve focusing on other areas of the business
The Person
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) and / or MCIPS qualified
- Must be a proven commercial negotiator with a results based track record
- Must have previous supervisory experience
- Raw Materials experience, ideally from a manufacturing or pharmaceutical background
- Must be able to embrace and manage change, constantly looking for new and better ways to achieve objectives
- Must be able to prioritise in an ever changing and demanding environment, showing high levels of drive and enthusiasm
